Network World - World Class Award

In its first competitive review, the PowerEdge 2300
outscored workgroup servers from Compaq, HP, Micron, and NEC, and Acer to
claim the World Class Award from Network World.
In evaluating the servers, Network World ran file, web, and SQL
benchmarks on both NT Server 4.0 and IntranetWare 4.11. Network World used
the following metrics to determine the overall winner:
Performance , Features, Serviceability
and
Manageability.
The PowerEdge 2300 finished first in the file benchmark and near the top
in web and SQL performance. It won Network World's World Class Award
because it was the only server to score at least 9.0 (out of a possible
10) in all categories.
